Hrrrm doesnt sound good but you guys have still got it better than in Aus. I swear Im not going home till Im totally over cars.

this is KMH so think about that in MPH. the are cameras seriously everywhere, disguised not just as unmarked cars but large bins etc aswell! they will book you from 64kph in a 60 zone! thats 4 kph over the posted limit (2.5mph)
they have a law where if you are going over 40kph you are considered a "hoon" and the officer can confiscate your car on the spot! this doesnt need to involve any racing, loss of traction or anything! if you "race" to the speed limit with another car both cars can be confiscated.
1st time is ~48 hours
2nd time is 2 weeks
3rd time car is taken and sold at auctions.
when I went back to Melbourne about 4 years ago I got pulled up going 20kph UNDER the limit (I was driving slow cause I saw the cop bikes on the other side of the road) they quickly do a U-turn, pull me over and issue $400 of tickets for bald rear tyres (I had fresh tyres in the hatch and when I told them they issued my a fine for insecure load!) non padded steering wheel and a bit of wiring that had fallen and was "obscuring" the number plate.
so while I think Kansas might be bad for cops Im pretty sure Australia is worse!
I moved to japan for a 6month-1 year holiday and was so shocked by the difference and how awesome the police are here I still havent gone home.
Anyway if the cops are real arseholes I can understand why you cant go too loud or too crazy with mods and that really sucks
